Keaon Koloamatangi
The Mascot Jets junior has impressed over the last fortnight – playing in excess of 40 minutes and averaging 38 NRL Fantasy points.
There will be a number of coaches looking for temporary FRF cover this week with Payne Haas set to spend two weeks on the sidelines, and Koloamtagi is putting his hand up as the pick of the budget options.
Adding to his appeal is the suspension of Liam Knight and a injury cloud of Bayley Sironen – which should see his recent game time continue in the short term.
Due to limited minutes in his first three games of the year, the 22-year-old is still attractively priced at under $300k when compared to alternatives such as Jolliffe, Wallace and Paseka.
With a break even of (-4) ahead of Round 15, coaches will need to make the move this week.
Matt Doorey
Doorey impressed on debut against the Tigers in Round 14 with a try and 46 NRL Fantasy points.
This performance was enough for Georgeallis to promote him into the starting side this week, with Josh Jackson shifting to Lock to accommodate the move.
Starting second row forwards under $300k are hard to come by; and Doorey firms as one of the best options for coaches looking to move from a red dot or free up cash for an upgrade elsewhere.
A potential danger for Fantasy coaches is further rotation within the Bulldogs pack. Dylan Napa is set to return in Round 16, and with the Blue and White well and truly out of finals contention – we wouldn’t be shocked to see further changes.
Api Koroisau
Koroisau is coming off a season-high 88 NRL Fantasy points over the weekend, and has swiftly come back into contention for Fantasy coaches looking to finalise their 17.
At $772k, the Fijian International is available at over $50k cheaper than Damien Cook – despite scoring over 20 points per game more over their last 3 appearances.
A minor concern for prospective owners will be the potential for Api to be given a rest in the lead up to finals given their position on the table – however, his recent form and low break even make him very hard to ignore this week.
