Ben Hunt

The Dragons ran away as convincing winners against the Sea Eagles over the weekend, with Hunt playing 80 mins in the number 9 jersey.

The Australian and Queensland representative had an inspiring performance in both attack and defence, and managed an impressive 76 NRL Fantasy points.

Most notably, Hunt made 51 tackles with zero missed and kicked for over 300 metres.

With this impressive base and his known attacking upside, Hunt looks to have all the tools to become a final 17 scorer at a friendly price-tag of $654k.

The concern for those jumping on this week will be whether or not he plays the full 80-minutes every Round with McInnes ready to step in at any moment. However, after a convincing win and the Dragons finally looking to have their season on-track; he looks well played for extended minutes on a consistent basis.

Overall, Hunt enters Round 10 with a heavy discount compared to his potential output at Hooker, and with a break even of 34 – his price looks set to move quickly.

Siliva Havili

The season ending injury Josh Hodgson has seen Havili elevated into the starting side.

The Tongan international has been a popular cash cow in the past.

In 2018 when Hodgson was again injured – Havili averaged 57 minutes for 42 points.

In those 13 appearances, Havili played for more than 70 minutes on four occasions – where he secured an average just shy of 50 points.

If he is able to regularly hit scores in the 40’s, he could repeat his money-making efforts of 2018 and prove a vital asset for NRL Fantasy coaches.

The main danger for prospective owners is the emergence of Starling on the interchange. Whilst we expect Havlili to play the majority of the minutes in the position, Starling will have an opportunity to put his stamp on the team and demand more minutes as the season progresses.

But with more than one injury in the Raiders pack and Havili’s ability to play anywhere in the middle – he looks well placed for enough minutes to earn your side some money.

With a price-tag of $396k and BE of 17; those willing to take a risk on Havili will be looking to do it this week.

Jazz Tevaga

It was great to see Tevaga finally return this season from a serious knee injury that has seen him sidelined over the opening 8 Rounds of the season.

Jazz returned from the interchange in Round 9 with 33 points in 31 minutes – proving he hasn’t lost his impressive PPM output over the break.

We only have to look at last season to see how effective he can be as a Fantasy asset.

When Tevaga was shifted to Lock between Rounds 15 and 25, the Samoan international managed 63 points per game.

Currently priced at around 50 points, and dropping rapidly due to limited minutes in his return game – Tevaga could offer up exceptional value in the coming weeks.

The main drawback for prospective owners will be his injury issues over the past 12 months – however, despite this; he’ll be hard to overlook as a fallen gun if he manages to lock down a starting Lock role in the short term.

With a high BE of 68, you can pop him on your watchlist for a couple of weeks and look to pick him up down the line for a nice discount.

Sio Siua Taukeiaho

The Tongan international scored 71 points in 69 minutes against the Cowboys – a performance which included 42 tackles and nearly 200 run metres!

The powerful ball runner has been in sensational form; posting a 3 game average of 68 points.

The main reason for this upturn is a significant increase in minutes this season.

While he averaged just 46 minutes last year, we’ve seen this climb to 56 minutes in 2020 – due to the unavailability of some key middles.

An extra 10 minutes for a middle forward like Taukeiaho is huge, and we have seen the benefits with his Fantasy output already.

When looking for a potential drawback, the Roosters have rotated the minutes in the forwards in previous seasons – and Taukeiaho has never managed 50+ season average in his career. However, recent signs suggest this could be about to change.

With ownership at 4.5%, price of $666k and BE of 20, Taukeiaho looks to be a great POD option for your FRF to partner with Haas.
